Newsletter #5
Dear readers,
We wish you a happy new year, full of adventures and explorations, just like our
ancestors did!
This month, there is a lot to say!
We have completed projects about vikings on TV series and movies that we presented orally to our respective classes. Some of us have prepared surveys to send to kids or institutions about vikings; we are waiting for the results.
But, most importantly, today, we did something really exciting! (despite technological complications..). We’ve had a visio conference with our penpals!! It was “la galette des rois” here so we’ve presented this tradition to them and they asked us questions like: what do we
know about Norway and what do we hope to do when we’ll go there. We said we wanted to see fjords and they told us about a place called the Pulpit Rock.
Norwegians students are apparently very eager to try French food, especially baguette, croissants and cheeses. Normandy is the perfect place for cheeses! But, they mainly know our region for the D-day and this year, we are celebrating its 80th anniversary!
There also was an article about our project in the local press!
Thanks for following our project,
Yours,
The class of 1€ in Charles Tellier high school.
